With Jennifer Siddoway's wonderful descriptions, it's surprising a heavy scent of sea air doesn’t waft from this book. The tension between Elspeth and Graeme is thick from the moment they meet and sizzles throughout.
Jennifer Siddoway is a consummate storyteller combining danger, intrigue, fierce sea battles for the bounty, and of course romance that kept me turning the pages, excited to see what would happen next! I loved Ellie with her determination to work with the crew and Graeme, who was a strong leader but also had a good heart.
This is just an absolute amazing feel good book. Leo is the perfect Knight. The family is what every young bride wants. Perfect read after a long day of work.
Jennifer Siddoway writes a sweet story in a time of great unrest. This story is absolutely amazing and I truly enjoyed it. Once I stared reading it, I couldn't put it down and you won't be able to either.
Jennifer knows her way around Highlanders and Vikings. By the time you finish this book you will feel like you know her characters well enough that it leaves you craving for more. I really enjoyed this novel and hope that there will be more upcoming books to read from Ms Siddoway.
The story was well written, had a unique way to present the story and depicted a part of Scottish history that hasn't been addressed in novels - at least not yet in the ones I have read. Light reading, enjoyable characters, and very satisfactory ending.
